Native Full HD Resolution, Bright Pictures and Crisp Details Lighten up Large Venues

Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, July 11, 2011 – Vivitek today announced its new large-venue projector, the Vivitek D8300. Ideally suited to large-venue installations such as small cinemas, education and simulation environments as well as for digital signage, media and large conference rooms, the Vivitek D8300 lightens up these locations with its 6500 ANSI lumens of brightness. The machine features a native Full HD picture at a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio to show bright, saturated presentations and pictures. The projector’s contrast ratio of 3000:1 ensures deep black levels, while the 400W lamp guarantees long hours of operation – ensuring unrivalled performance.

With the Vivitek D8300 a selection of four lens options is available, as well as two converter lenses, fitting the projector to the respective venue it will be installed in. The Vivitek D8300 uses a DLP chipset from Texas Instruments, so no maintenance is required, ensuring a low cost of ownership. Moreover, the projector’s connectivity is as elaborate as its lens options: it includes two HMDI, a VGA-D-Sub, component video, S-Video and Composite video input ports. Two 12V mini-jack ports are embedded for a Screen trigger.

Pricing and Availability
The Vivitek D8300 projector will be available from July 2011 and will be priced at 8,990Euros (excluding VAT). The projector will have three years’ warranty and one year or a maximum of 1,000 hours of life warranty (whichever comes first).
